About the Position:

Software Defined Network (SDN) team is working on developing standard based Network Virtualization platform for deploying public/private cloud infrastructure.

We are looking for an ideal test engineering candidate who is extremely talented and is capable of developing the automation framework and manual testing of Network Virtualization solution as part of SDN.

The testing and automation is expected to verify both functional and performance/scaling aspects for large scale cloud deployments.

The Candidate should be well versed with networking fundamentals like TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, VPN, VxLAN, Layer 2 to Layer 7 services such as NAT, firewall and virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of test plan and test execution of the feature from solution testing perspective.

2. Automation of test framework and test cases using python/GO lang and REST APIs.

3. Work on different software releases to verify the bugs and provide support to the development team to reproduce the problems.

4. Attend any critical customer/partner escalation issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

Engineering degree in Computer Science or Electronics and Communications or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Overall 10+ years of experience with Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics or Computer Science Engineering.

2. Experience with modern software development and testing methodologies like continuous integration.

3. Experience with working on complex networking, Linux internals and virtualisation system from ground up.

4. Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, VxLAN, L3-VPNs.

5. Strong coding skills in python/shell-scripting/GO lang is desirable.

6. Exposure to openstack/Kubernetes or any other cloud orchestration system is desirable.

7. Prior experience in building simulated test environments.

8. Proven ability to learn and execute tasks quickly.

9. Experience in building automation infrastructure and using test tools like IXIA/Spirent

10. Work experience in Agile methodology is desirable.
