What you’ll achieve

Dell Digital and IT is responsible to run the IT infrastructure for the company. It is organized by L4 Segments rolling up to the Chief Digital Officer. The Org is supported by 12000+ strong workforce & has an annual spend budget of $1.7B. DDIT FP&A is responsible to deliver Financial Planning and Analysis support for DDIT. DDIT FP&A Team has a global presence and strong foothold in Bangalore-India, organized in direct support to L4 and also a center of excellence (shared services). The Organization provides opportunity to demonstrate great analytical ability while learning global skills such as stakeholder management, change management and project management. As an Advisor, Financial Analysis. you will be responsible for FP&A support for L4 Segment of DDIT, front ending various planning & analytical activities through the Quarter. You would also be the Finance delegate for the Organization and ensure various controls while approving spend, while striving for continuous process improvement and innovation to support the business. You will work with a Global team including members of Controllership Business & Strategists community alongside other Finance functions on various run the business & change the business activities.

You will:

  • Front end FP&A for the Segment in areas such as :
    • Planning : Build bottoms up Opex cost estimate across various lines of spend, for Monthly Outlook and R&Os, interlocking with Controller and Business, Support various AOP activities and ensure HPT load
    • Analysis : Perform detailed monthly close reconciliations and provide variance analysis, identify one-offs spends, assess Multi-Qtr implications etc., Provide necessary analytics to call out Risks & Opportunities on regular basis
    • Controls : Ensure control mechanism through approval process and PO trackers. Establish & Maintain a suitable CC hierarchy to align with business re-orgs
    • Business Partnering : Work with cross functional teams including Accounting, Procurement, Business etc., to drive predictability and accuracy
  • Proactively call out implications of changes in Tools and Process to the P&L and take necessary actions to ensure smooth transitions
  • Contribute to the larger objective of the team and FP&A Org, via participation on Org / Team-wide initiatives. Explore opportunities to simplifying and automate various activities, collaborate with functional & technical teams as required. Support team level process improvement projects

Essential Requirements

  • Proven business acumen with good financial awareness
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented, at ease with numbers
  • FP&A Experience would be desirable
  • Strong Excel and written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage varying workloads during the month/quarter end and proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Flexible and able to learn on the fly and be comfortable in dealing with change management
  • Strong team player with ability to work in remote teams, be able to raise to occasion and support team level initiatives to drive efficiencies and process improvements
  • Enthusiastic, forward thinking, self-motivated individual, willing to learn while being results driven.

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge/experience in automation and advanced analytics
