Incumbent will be responsible for end to end construction activities of upcoming expansion of steel plant at Dhenkanal District in Odisha. The responsibilities includes -


  • To understand the project drawings for RCC design, steel structures, pile foundations, Pre-engineered building (PEB) and equipment foundations to ensure the construction work as per approved design and drawing for all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, structural and infrastructure works.
  • Plan and co-ordinate all aspects of the project construction process with the contractors.
  • Perform all daily inspection and tests under the scope to accomplish the quality of construction indicated in the drawings/specifications for all works performed by the contractor.
  • Conducting weekly review meeting with Contractor at site to assess the construction progress as per schedule and to understand the bottlenecks of various activities.
  • Carry out inspection and checking for all quality measures and ensures the work methodology adopted at the site is as per approved Field quality (FQP) and method statement.
  • Timely submission of weekly progress report (WPR), Non-conformity report (NCR), and site observation report (SOR) to head office.
  • Produce project schedules and updates suited to accomplish contract requirements to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to support construction activities.
  • Provide the reliable and comprehensive project reports to the project team advising critical activities, schedule updates, and related project needs.
  • Daily monitoring of construction progress, considering quality concerns, and ensuring jobsite safety considerations are addressed.
  • Maintaining the proper record of quality documents for every activity such as cube test results calibration certificates, Field quality plan, (FQP) and checklists submitted by the Contractor for acceptance of work.
  • To ensure the proper co-ordination with office Project team for submission of project deliverable on time.
  • Plan and Liaising with Project team and Procurement team for delivery of construction material.
