Job Description: Title: Associate Product Manager The Group: Morningstar’s AdviserLogic is an end-to-end financial planning software platform for the Australian market, designed by an adviser for advisers. Today, with AdviserLogic, advisers can access financial planning, pricing, compliance, APL management, and customer communication tools. AdviserLogic offers a modern technology stack with focus on user experience and ease of use. The Financial Planning group builds solutions and capabilities that enable financial advisors to deliver compliant and comprehensive financial advice so that their retail clients and investors meet their goals. The solutions leverage Morningstar’s extensive data and research capabilities across all stages of financial advice making the advice process compliant, efficient, and effective. The Role: The Morningstar AdviserLogic team is looking for an execution-focused Associate Product Manager to join us as the product owner of an agile squad. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with the financial services industry with an emphasis on portfolio construction, calculation, or data dissemination. You should have a strong background in product management and should be experienced in guiding cross-functional teams to success using hybrid project management practices. Experience in planning and successfully delivering product features, including the oversight of product charters and key metrics, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment is critical. The ability to communicate clearly at all levels, form strong relationships with stakeholders and proactively identify and manage risks is essential in this role. This position is based in our Gurgaon office. Responsibilities:
  • Perform Requirement Analysis, understand the business needs, identify business solutions and validate the pros and cons of technical solution options.
  • Participate and Lead requirements workshops, provide full and comprehensive documentation of all changed and new components so that they can be successfully promoted from Development to UAT.
  • Ensure accurate conversion of the functional specifications into the technical design along with designing UI/UX prototypes and be the subject matter expert on the requirements, prepare UAT scenarios, provide input into test scripts preparation and provide guidance to end-users.
  • Work on strict timeline driven projects.
  • Create and maintain Requirement traceability matrix, Project Vision Document, Requirement management plan, Wireframes/ Prototype, Use Cases, Business Requirement Document, Functional requirement specification/ Functional specification document, System requirement specification & Test Cases.
  • Assist in the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks effectively and ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved.
  • Give proactive feedback regarding day-to-day operations and strive to improve performance.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Collaborate with end-users to gather feedback on existing products and ideas on new enhancements. Requirements:
  • A minimum of a master’s in finance (MBA or PGDM)
  • 3+ years of working experience in the Product Management discipline having 6+ yrs. of overall experience.
  • Working Agile Experience – Scrum methodology, JIRA or equivalent story writing tool, Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Story Estimation and Prioritization, creation of user stories, acceptance criteria.
  • Should have excellent verbal and written English communication skills, and an outgoing personality that enjoys connecting with and motivating people.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for investments, including stocks, indexes, funds and ETFs
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and planning skills, and the ability to excel in a fastpaced environment while delivering high-quality work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented
