Overview

A critical priority for Asset Management is to ensure that a comprehensive set of high-quality data is available to run our business and meet client needs. The Asset Wealth Management (AWM) Chief Data Office (CDO) was established in 2014 to define AWM’s core data strategy. This includes data for clients and accounts, products, securities prices, transactions and holdings, indexes, benchmarks, performance and analytics. The AWM CDO is positioned in the Asset Wealth Management Operations division within AWM Center. We work with the AWM business and Firm wide CDO to analyze data, establish data quality standards and ensure data governance. We partner with the business and technology to implement data systems and process solutions.

The AWM Reporting Shared Services - Intelligent Reporting Solutions Team manages various reporting and analytics products across Asset & Wealth Management operations. The team is also responsible for putting broader governance framework for all regulatory reports. It creates and manages reports as part of operational responsibilities and drives various automation. Managing reporting with best in class platform support and self-service aspects continue as part of change management in this function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact closely with the desk leads, and help them with their data needs - quick turnaround time would be crucial
  • Define Reporting governance and standards as part of the global framework
  • Be the first point of contact for their data needs/ ad-hoc requests or enhancements to the dashboards
  • Develop and enhance existing key MIS performance analytics and reporting
  • Independently troubleshoot and follow through on trade life cycle events which have an impact on data quality and analytics.
  • Drive standardization across processes and reporting. Suggest and implement controls to improve efficiency & accuracy of existing processes.
  • Work with upstream data providers to ensure consistency, completeness and accuracy of transactional data.
  • Work with various groups in Markets to help streamline reporting requirements and move towards a self-service data driven model.
  • Analysis and requirement gathering for developing data visualization dashboards for firm’s internal performance metrics and data points.
  • Communicate progress to senior management & escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Present data in a user-friendly and visually compelling fashion
  • Liaise with technology, operations and user experience partners globally
  • Manage stakeholder’s expectations and prioritize work for the Tech team
  • Work with huge sets of data from varied systems and stitch it together to derive meaningful information

Skills/ Qualifications
  • Graduate or Post-Graduate (preferred) with 3-4 years of experience in operations and reporting.
  • Familiarity with ETL Tools (e.g. Alteryx, Python, AI/ML, RPA, etc.) and Data Visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to address ad hoc data requests
  • Preferred experience in some UI tools like Tableau or QlikView
  • Project management - ensuring quality output within prescribed timelines
  • Ability to think creatively and deliver innovative solutions
  • Strong Controls mindset - Adherence to key control/regulatory/audit standards
  • Ability to think and act strategically:
    • Deal with day-to-day issues as well as planning and executing projects / initiatives
    • Excellent attention to detail, and an ability to know when a deep-dive approach is appropriate
  • Passionate about User Experience and providing delightful reporting services
  • Ability to drive results through a "hands-on" approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept at communicating with all levels of the business and technical parts of the organization
  • Strong with Data analysis, data mining and system analysis
  • Skilled in MS office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access and Project
  • Can operate effectively in a dynamic/ uncertain environment with tight deadlines
