Your Role and Responsibilities
As a member of the IBM Security development team, you will be working on back-end services, end-to-end system design, and data analytics. Members of this team tend to have a high degree of fluency in one or more languages (Java and/or C++), database technologies (relational, document, distributed), and a foundational knowledge of cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift Container Platform.
You will be responsible for the following:
  • Develop new and maintain current features for IBM Security SOAR Platform
  • Prepare technical requirements and software design specifications.
  • Work in an Agile Environment to deliver solutions in a timely manner
  • Establish strong communication and relationships between engineering, infrastructure, and project/product management teams.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience in cloud software development and delivery.
  • Experience using & building containers and containerised applications.
  • Experience of working with, developing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Programming in Java, Groovy or scripting languages such bash.
  • Experience in DevOps tools chains such as Jenkins, Terraform,
  • Automation technologies such as GoLang, Ansible and Python

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • You have 5+ years in software development and delivery.
  • You have experience with continuous delivery and automated testing, preferably in multi-cloud deployments.
  • A good understanding of OpenShift, Kubernetes or similar container orchestration technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience with application software and solution scalability, security, monitoring and performance.
  • Agile experience working with Scrum or Kanban in co-located teams as part of a global team.
  • Strong Linux experience.

Our industry leading IBM Cloud Pak for Security (CP4S) is comprised of containerized software pre-integrated with Red Hat OpenShift. The platform connects to your existing security tools – and through the use of open standards – allows you to search for threat indicators across your hybrid, multicloud environment. It also connects workflows from across the business using a unified interface.
We are growing rapidly and are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic, talented individual to join our Software Development team focusing on our cloud deployment.
The Job
Located in India you will work as part of a focused team who are responsible for shaping the architectural path to deliver Cloud Pak for Security both as a Software delivery and also as-a-service on AWS & IBM Cloud, focusing on the delivery of a highly available and horizontally scalable solution capable of running in any cloud environment on OpenShift. It provides a truly unique opportunity to join a successful, rapidly growing organization and fill a pivotal role in its growth and success.
As a DevOps Engineer you will work in a multi-cloud environment. This will include custom solutions, as well as open source DevOps tools (build and deploy automation, monitoring and data gathering for our software delivery pipeline). You will also be contributing to our continuous improvement and continuous delivery while increasing maturity of DevOps and our agile adoption practices.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in computer science or similar fields. You will need to be an excellent collaborator and communicator within your team and with wider stakeholders.
This job requires you to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated prior to your start date and proof of vaccination status will be required before your start date.
