Technology Research Analyst

We are looking for technology research analyst who will play a consultative role to support stakeholders in their technology acquisition journey, provide key insights to choose between build vs buy for technology solutions and play the role of a tech scout for EY Client Technology.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Successfully initiating, executing and delivering research projects involving market assessment & sizing, competitive analysis & benchmarking and industry/sector analysis.
  • Taking ownership of all the business research assignments entrusted and work closely with the team to produce impeccable quality outputs
  • Conduct secondary/primary research based on the tactical and strategic information needs of stakeholders including market insights around products and services
  • Monitor EY’s global technology ecosystem for important trends
  • Analyse third party research (e.g. Gartner, Forrester, IDC) for applicability and translate relevant thought leadership
  • Monitor technology market for key activities and trends (e.g. product launches, mergers)
  • Understand how Socio-economic trends (e.g. Emerging Markets) and how they will influence technology products and services
  • Assess the above influences for impact on EY Strategy, and manage EY’s Emerging Technology Lifecycle in close collaboration with our Innovation Team
  • Assess technology solutions to advise on build vs buy decisions

Skills And Attributes For Success
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, ability to consider impact and opportunities of a fast-changing technology market onto EY, paired with ability to make sound decisions about where to focus
  • Broad knowledge of technology landscape. Adequate technical understanding to assess trends and technologies for relevance and viability
  • Well aware of research methodology and processes
  • Awareness of Software development, Technology Infrastructure
  • Well-versed with IT ecosystem, IT enabled services
  • Outstanding communication skills both oral and written paired with the ability to tailor the message to various audiences
  • Ability to lead through influence and to deliver results through others
  • Ability to understand and integrate cultural differences and motives, and to influence cross-cultural teams

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in user experience, interaction design, information design or similar role in an IT organization or interactive, advertisement or creative agency. Experience doing market research/technology research in a technology research organization or within a market/competitive Intelligence function or a related role
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in coordinating/ collaborating with multi-geo and multi-cultural teams
  • “Get-it-done” mentality
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related. Master’s degree in Business management will be a plus
