Your Role and Responsibilities
  • As an AWS Cloud Software Architect for Ecosystem Labs, you will
  • Design and/or delivery of solutions, assets, and content.
  • Apply methodology and governance around project development.
  • Document and articulate clear understanding of customer/partner success criteria.
  • Apply critical thinking, technical knowledge, customer/partner insights to solve problems with industry methodologies, and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with IBM and AWS specialists to design and build complex enterprise solutions with foundation of Red Hat Open Shift, AWS Infrastructure, and IBM Software technology.
  • Standardize solutions in accordance with the AWS Well-Architected Framework across all pillars, including operational excellence, security, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and reliability.
  • Define, lead, and execute architecture design workshops and white-boarding sessions to build implementation plans.
  • Develop deep relationships with key customers through solution integration to drive long-term IBM and AWS adoption.
  • Team well with our key IBM & Red Hat business units, and strategic partners to support our partnership.
  • Consult as a subject matter expert on our IBM/AWS technology and services portfolio.
  • Authors use cases, reference architectures, blog posts, and other field and external content.
  • Work in sandbox environments to demonstrate IBM Hybrid Cloud Capabilities with AWS.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application.
  • 8+ Years: Distributed application and systems architecture design and implementation.
  • 5+ Years: Engineering and/or technology experience (e.g., technology field, Services, Consultant, Specialist Team Unit, Technical Sales, system integrators, developer, project manager, sales).
  • 4+ Years: Software programming experience with one of the following languages: Java/Python/Ruby/JavaScript/C#/Go, Microservice development with one of the following, or industry equivalent framework: Express.JS, Spring Boot, Flask, GraphQL, ASP.NET, Front-end web application development with React, Angular, Vue.js, Enterprise IT in multiple of the following areas: Software development; Infrastructure architecture; DevOps; Content distribution; Database architecture; IP Networking; IT Security; Serverless; Containers; Linux.
  • 3+ Years: Design and implementation Solution architecture on Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud), Client presentation & Point of View development & delivery at a solution level.
  • 2+ Years: AWS Architecture Design Consulting and/or Delivery. Validated understanding about available AWS services e.g. EC2, VPC, S3, ELB, RDS, Cloud Watch, Cloud Front, CloudFormation, Red Hat Open Shift offerings & technical architecture, IBM Hybrid Cloud Software and Capabilities.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Masters, or Ph.D. in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application.
  • DevOps and CI/CD principles and tools (Jenkins, DevOps, GitHub, etc.)
  • Architecture-Design: Cloud-native and Cloud-ready applications (API enabled, containerization)
  • Experience with relational and non-relational data sources including Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Postgres SQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, AWS DynamoDB, Amazon RedShift, and Amazon Aurora
  • One or more of the following AWS Certifications: AWS Developer Associate, or AWS DevOps Engineering Professional
  • One or more IBM Certifications from the following categories: IBM Certified Developer, IBM Certified Solution Architect, IBM Certified Associate Architect
