Join us as a Data Analytics Auditor

  • We’ll look to you to undertake monitoring and risk assessing, providing quality, efficient and effective assurance while influencing business managers to improve control
  • You’ll contribute to independent engagement assurance, undertaking allocated tasks within the engagement life cycle in line with methodology and quality requirements
  • You’ll enjoy considerable stakeholder engagement, liaising with colleagues to ensure a sufficient understanding of business risks and an open and effective discussion on key risks

What you’ll do

As a Data Analytics Auditor, you’ll deliver data analytics related elements of a regular or complex engagement for ongoing audit. You’ll undertake testing as prescribed in the test plan, managing your workload to ensure quality delivery on time within scope and within resource budget. Leveraging Internal Audit’s (IA’s) industry leading audit methodology and Data Analytics tools, you’ll contribute to transformation related activities, and you’ll drive the development of our analytics functions and libraries.

You’ll also:

  • Execute your work in line with IA methodology and use tools and resources effectively
  • Improve the efficiency and sampling size of audit engagements by using the right toolsets and approaches during an engagement
  • Contribute to the delivery of departmental initiatives
  • Share knowledge and coordinate within IA to ensure depth of coverage provided to the business and to maximise data analytics capability
  • Effectively report on issues and contribute to discussions on audit’s opinions of the business
  • Monitor outstanding issues and their progress

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for someone with a degree or Postdoc in Business Analytics or Computer Science, or a B. Tech in Statistics. You’ll also be proficient in visualisation tools.

As well as this, you’ll demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI and Tableau
  • Knowledge of SAS, and R Shiny
  • Hands on experience of ETL, machine learning and data exploration
  • Comprehensive experience of data management, data analytics, data architectures, file structures and query utilities
  • The ability to write complex SQL, SAS, R or Python codes, and operational knowledge of other programming and scripting languages
