Job Summary: The Solution Architect plays a critical role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient IT solutions aligned with the organization’s business objectives. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, understanding business requirements, and providing strategic guidance to ensure the successful development and deployment of enterprise-wide solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Develop comprehensive and innovative solution architectures that address business challenges and align with organizational goals. Create and maintain architecture artifacts, such as system diagrams, data models, and technical documentation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business leaders, project managers, and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions meet both business and technical needs.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend suitable solutions for current and future projects. Conduct proof-of-concept studies to assess the feasibility and viability of new technologies.
  • Standards and Best Practices: Define and enforce architectural standards and best practices across the organization. Ensure that solutions adhere to security, compliance, and governance policies.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with proposed solutions. Provide guidance on risk management strategies and contingency planning.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to guide the implementation of solutions, providing technical leadership and support. Review code and technical designs to ensure alignment with architectural standards.
  • Capacity Planning: Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to plan for and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:More than 15 years of experience in enterprise architecture or a related role. Proven experience in designing and implementing complex, large-scale solutions.

Technical/Communication Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Expertise in a variety of technologies, including but not limited to cloud computing, databases, networking, and security.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA) or equivalent, are a plus.

Problem-Solving:

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and make decisions that balance technical and business considerations.
