Staff/ Lead Engineer, SSD

Location: Bangalore

This position is a permanent position with our client (US Based Semiconductor Product Company with revenue more than 30 Billion USD)

Join us as a Technical lead who develops the requirements and models the expected performance of Client SSDs architecture

We are a collaborative and small team of storage experts with a passion for innovation. Some of the key responsibilities are:

• Define detailed SSD product requirements and develop new product architecture specifications

• Generate new intellectual property, patents, technical presentations and/or publications, trade secrets

• Model and analyze performance, latency, and power from host-driven workloads

• Mentor product core teams throughout the product development process with innovation and sound foundational development principles

• Maintain strong technical engineering relationships with customers, partner system architects and key technologists

• Work closely with external customers, gathering requirements and creating solutions as a trusted adviser

• Work with other architects, technologists, design engineers and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation and feasibility demonstration of new product concepts

• Evangelize new storage products, technologies, and capabilities

• Represent us appropriate industry consortia, technical organizations, and technical conferences

• Identify and stay abreast of key technical trends and competitive landscapes within the storage industry

• Influence different technical disciplines with reach spanning across geographic areas, organizational boundaries, and the industry

Responsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to:

• Working knowledge and experience in SSD Architecture of Firmware, NAND and Systems
• Experience in Modeling, Planning and Communication
• Collaborate with functional Groups including Firmware, HW and Architecture
• Experience in Standards, PCIe, NVME, SSDs, Storage Architecture, NAND Devices

Qualifications and Skills include, but not limited to:

• 7 years Storage industry Experience
• Degree/Major: BS, MS or Ph.D in Electrical, Computer Engineering and/or related field
• Computer System and Storage Architecture
• Performance modeling
• Product development and Cross Functional teams
• Passion for delivering innovative solutions to difficult problems.
