What you will learn and contribute to

The Global Services Packet Core Line manager is a critical function within the Cloud & Network Services Business Group and is responsible for the management of Packet Core Engineers and the delivery of services to our customers globally.

The Packet Core line manager is responsible for the continuous development of new services delivery capabilities, driven either internally, with Product Line Management (PLM) or from external market needs.

As a leader in the Packet Core team, you will have the opportunity to lead teams in the delivery of the latest mobile packet core solutions utilizing the latest cloud technologies both public and private cloud.

Thie successful candidate will manage resources within India and is expected to reside in India. Project delivery responsibility will be for Nokia’s global Packet Core customer base.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Maintains an understanding of the Packet Core domain inclusive of 5G as well as cloud infrastructure as it pertains to Packet Core solutions.
  • Hiring and professional development of Packet Core engineers.
  • Establish working relationships with peers and various Nokia resources. Example; Local market teams, PLM and R&D.
  • Maintain the supply & demand forecast for assigned perimeters.
  • Maintains and reports on Packet Core KPI, and other administrative items
  • Ensures the use of tooling and automation, best practices, and Blueprints.
  • Reviews project margins & quality for best delivery model implementations, and continuous improvements.
  • Develops and ensures proper training & up-skilling in Packet Core domain area for the Packet Core Teams globally.
  • Partners with peers within and external to the Packet Core Team on project delivery, escalation and lessons learned.

Your skills and experience

  • BS/MS in Computer Science with 10+ years experience in a professional services delivery role. Management level preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Packet Core Solution and interfaces
  • Expert level understanding of the services delivery lifecycle
  • Demonstrated problem solving, both technical and organizational
  • Demonstrated team leadership in either a direct or indirect reporting structure.
  • The ability to travel within and outside of India.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Onboarding & Deployment experience with VNF/CNF and the understanding of artifacts TOSCA, CSAR, and Helm Charts
  • Experience with Python programming language or Bash and in test automation
  • Knowledge of GIT version control system
  • One of CCNP/JNCIS/NRS II certifications (or higher)
  • Fluent written and spoken English
