The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

  • Act with integrity and honesty in all dealings with customers and be a good steward of their interests.

  • Attain and actively maintain a level of professional competence appropriate to the responsibilities of a ES and commit to the continued learning and development of others.

Strategy

  • Build the Equities Broking, PMS and Advisory business so as to achieve leadership position in the region.
  • Drive the referrals through the SCB segment / channel teams.
  • Constantly update the SCB segment / channels on the markets and our house views.
  • Coach the RMs / WS’s on the various investment ideas and processes.
  • Periodic review of product performance availed of by the customers through us.
  • Provide inputs to customers / RM’s / WS’s on transactions / performance.
  • Build and deepen relationships with customers to deepen wallet-share to direct equities / SCSI.
  • Ensure customers and the various bank segments view SCSI as a value proposition.
  • Oversee customer transactions / relationship at local SCSI dealer level to keep track of portfolio performance.
  • Handhold new to SCSI customers on their equity journey and help build a true-blue 3in1 customer experience.
  • Optimally use the Priority acquisition model and maximize SCSI penetration from the allocated territory.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.
