We’re looking for an Applied Data Science Director who expects more from their career.It’s a chance to lead manage all applied data science teams across India and to oversee and take overall accountability for their Region’s data science deliverables, including market products and solutions. Provide the right level of support to new business opportunities as well as new clients across the region. It is an opportunity apply your expertise to lead a team which distil complex problems into compelling insights using the best of machine learning and human creativity to deliver effective and impactful solutions for clients. Joining our advanced data science team, you’ll investigate, develop, implement and deploy a range of complex applications and components while working alongside super-smart colleagues challenging and rewriting the rules, not just following them.
What we expect from you
  • 12 to 15+ years of prior experience in application of Data Science
  • Prior people management experience of managing big Global Data Science team (Essential)
  • Working closely with Technology, Product & Science teams (including the global product teams) (Essential)
  • Support and get involved with the most strategic/ critical client deliverables as appropriate, attending meetings with clients and bringing expert knowledge of our data science techniques and products to ensure our clients are delighted with our work.
  • Ensure the right level of Data Science support is provided across the region to new business opportunities and new clients that we are hoping to grow, enriching clients’ workplan through value-add consultancy projects. Respond to Requests for Proposals and attend pitches to clients. Spot commercial opportunities to solve client’s problems through advanced data science techniques.
  • Help design and ensure the successful implementation of changes to ways of working across the applied data science community in the region, in order to achieve the efficiency and effectiveness objectives of the function globally. Ensure the team are following dh Quality Assurance processes and coding standards and improving scores on relevant KPIs for value delivery.
  • Resource manage the applied data science resource across the region by allocating people to projects/ clients in a timely and cost-efficient way that aligns with the strategic prioritisation of those projects.
