Job Title: Discipline Engineer - Fire and Smoke
- Perform Fire & Smoke analysis & documents in accordance with QCD commitments
- Apply the Alstom processes & instruction
Organisation Reporting
- Hierarchical Reporting : Fire Safety Manager
- According to the size of the team, the Fire Safety position can be fulfilled by a Fire & Smoke Specialist.
- Central Engineering : CCN Leader Fire Safety, BID Technical Manager (Pre-Engineering)
- Site Engineering Eco Design, Fire Propagation, Design Engineers, mechanical engineers, industrialization, Train Design Engineer (TDE), Train System Engineer (TSE), Train Sub System Manager/Engineer, TSS RAMS Managers, Project Certification Manager (PrCM).
- Project: Project Engineering Manager (PrEM), Project Operation Manager (PrOM).
- Products : Product architects (PA), Product managers (PM)
- Industrial: Project Industrial Manager (PrIM),
- Industrial Quality: Industrial Quality Manager,
- QSRW: Project Quality and Safety Manager (PrQSM), Supplier Product Quality Development (SPQD)
- Sourcing: Buyers.
- Integrating & Participating Units: Fire & Smoke specialists, RAMS leaders
- External Interface : External Suppliers, External Laboratories for F&S tests, Customers, Fire & Smoke Authorities
KPI Measurement: For all projects assigned
- Fire & Smoke project planning
- Fire & smoke product development specifications
- Inputs for Project Safety Design Reviews - on time and documented.
- Compliance to Alstom rules & processes
Responsibilities:
1. AT project execution stage, deliver Fire & Smoke analysis (Fire & Smoke Report, BDI approvals, PV monitoring…) compliant with QCD work packages commitments.
2. At product development stage, set the relevant targets depending of the applicable standards and regulations and customers targeted, for internal development (make) and external (COS). Assure the right deployment (standards, tests, simulations…) for covering Fire & Smoke requirements at design/manufacturing level.
3. Pilot the use of database MARIE.
4. Apply Alstom & processes within the Group.
5. Support the deployment of processes , methodologies, simulations and available fire safety data management (ReX) and storage tools
6. Raise an issue at N+1 in case of gaps / abnormality /incompliancy
Job Specifications
Knowledge & Experience :
- Technical Background in Railway industry or in Fire & Smoke domain.
- Good Communications and interpersonal skills
