Job Description

Designation BE/Btech/Diploma - Chemical/Mechanical
years of experience 5 to 7 years

Role
Plan, implement, monitor and control, close Pipeline engineering activities
Study project inputs, Closure of clarifications, Validation of assumptions
Perform pipeline engineering activities
Provide inputs to downstream engineering disciplines like ICE, Civil
Multidiscipline coordination and ensure Integral pipeline engineering deliverables
Identify and track changes and report to project manager
Technical discussions with customers
Review Vendor specifications/datasheets/drawings and provide comments
Review of other discipline deliverables and approvals
frame and implement quality control process
Evaluate pipeline teams performance and implement continually improve plans
Identify technical risks and implement mitigation plan
Skills
Understand and Study of P&IDs, Equipment datasheets, Vendor drawings/specifications, design basis, project specifications
Develop Pipeline specifications, Support specifications, Hydrotesting specifications, Installation specifications
Develop Pipeline routings as per P&IDs, design basis, Topographies
Develop Pipeline fabrication drawings ( shop welds, field welds ), Bill of Materials
Provide Civil information drawings for earthworks, platforms and ladders, underground coordination, Anchor blocks
Provide Cathodic protection supports and inputs to electrical
Provide Instrument locations to Instrumentation
Perform Stress Analysis of Pipelines and provide loops, provide loads to Civil
Develop Pipeline support drawings and interfaces
Develop and provide Nozzle orientation of equipment, tanks to Civil, Process and Vendors
Perform slope calculations as per P&ID and provide invert levels to Civil
Design and implement pipeline cleats for pipeline supported platforms, equipment etc
Develop Special parts drawings and bill of materials
Mark up P&IDs if changes in network and update the sizes in consultation with process
Mark up P&IDs with hydro vents and drains
Develop bill of materials for coating and wrapping for underground pipelines
Develop bill of materials for painting of pipelines
