REPORTS TO: Group Product Manager
SUPERVISES: No reports
CONTACTS: Internal (all levels of the organization) and external contacts (customers, suppliers, trade organizations, among others). The information exchange is typically technical in nature and confidential. This position requires a high level of negotiation skills.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for managing the product life cycle of the product portfolio, from inception until end of life. Works closely with customers, sales, and engineering to assure that our product development aligns to our customer expectations. The product management specialist ensures that the product and marketing efforts are tailored to support Molex’s overall mission, strategy, and goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Timely support on product line(s) query, such as 3D models / drawings, material info, agency data, different versions of product, customer spreadsheets, web info, samples, PPAP, book pricing, PCN’s etc.
2. Increase revenue and market share of assigned product line(s) in support of Divisional and Global objectives.
3. Improve profit of assigned product line(s). Leads cost reduction activities, new technologies and quality improvements.
4. Pricing support on product line(s), such as approving end customer pricing for CM’s, executing product management pricing strategy in Vendavo, managing deals etc.
5. Work and manage simple MOD’s and SPO’s on product line(s).
6. Supports new product development activity associated with extending and growing the life of assigned product line.
7. Typical product management SAP maintenance on product line(s), such as part no. loading, sales status etc.
8. Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

SCOPE: * High degree of responsibility on numeric metrics such as revenue, P/L and ROI. This level of responsibility will affect the performance of the Division and in some cases globally.

• Works independently reporting product activity, results are reviewed on an agreed basis with supervisor.
• This position has a global reach and requires working with entities, customers, and sales globally.
• Marketing management involves creative thinking, problem solving skills and organization.
• Escalate large opportunities to global product manager

EDUCATION:
REQUIRED: * Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering
PREFERRED: * Masters degree

WORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED: * 5+ Years of experience preferably within the tech sector.

• Experience in product/project management.
• Experience in developing, executing and managing product portfolios.
• 1-3 years sales experience working closely with key customers.
• Proven track record in using principled entrepreneurship to expand product reach within the market
• Experience working with higher level customer contacts – system architects, principal engineering, etc.

PREFERRED: * Technical background (electrical or mechanical)
