What you will be doing

• Working closely with the stakeholders to deliver quality product
• Responsible for end to end delivery of product related assignments/tasks
• Hard working and open to learn and adopt for new technologies
• Establish realistic estimations and timelines
• Be competent in handling constant change of scope and solution
• Drive knowledge transfer activities

What you bring:

Knowledge / Experience

• Experience in in developing and maintaining Insurance/Reinsurance/Healthcare product dealing with administration system.
• Any certifications in mainframe or COBOL side will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion
• Attention to detail – track record of authoring high quality
• Experience of delivering high quality application interfaces
• Experience with Agile and Scrum
• Experience in working in a distributed global environment
• Good expertise in maintenance of applications using legacy technologies.
• Ability to deliver results under pressure
• Self-motivated and self-learning attitude.
• Quick Adaptation to new tools and techniques.
• Effectively communicate with clients and those outside of their role, especially when it comes to discussing issues with development. Having the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people

Essential Skills:

• Relevant Exp in Development should be 7+ Years.
• Hands-on working experience with COBOL/MicroFocus, NetExpress.
• Experience with large SQL queries in Oracle Database or large SQL Server Database.
• Experience in developing and maintaining complex stored procedures and packages using dynamic SQL in Oracle will be an added advantage.
• Must have experience with Source Control Management tools and Defect Tracking tools
• Knowledge of Scrum process is an added advantage

Qualifications

• Professional Degree or equivalent
• Life Insurance Certificates – Good to have
