Who you’ll be:

We are looking for a curious and eloquent individual with ideally background in Technical Writing and Authoring. You’ll be working with developers, engineers and analysts. You’ll need a good grounding in IT and software but also the ability to communicate with end-users and “non-IT” staff.

Excellent English and communication skills are needed to translate fairly technical information into easy to read and understandable reports. You’ll be writing reports and articles and capturing the human aspects of an incident and describing technical issues for non-technical readers.

You’ll be owning and building a body of work that needs to be accessible and compelling, something IG can use across the company to help improve company culture and processes.

As a Technical Writer you’ll work with people across IG, interviewing them and taking “eye-witness” accounts about technical issues and events, understanding why problems / incidents occur and then, in plain English, presenting this to the rest of the organisation so that lessons are learnt and future similar incidents are avoided.
