Overall Purpose of The Job

As a business, we are going through a period of Transformation/Globalisation and are continuing to bolster the Global IT function.

Within this role, you will be involved in Global technical project work and support the mergers and acquisition team; you will also be responsible for ongoing maintenance and support of the infrastructure environment in Asia on a BUA basis.

You will be tasked with day-to-day support and troubleshooting of issues within the company’s infrastructure services ensuring you, work within agreed SLA’s within an ITIL environment.

Involved in a variety of Infrastructure projects spanning from day-to-day operational improvements to new service delivery solutions. As part of the Groups plans for growth, we are undertaking a number of mergers and acquisitions; you will be an integral part of this process including design to deployment.

A seasoned Infrastructure professional with in-depth experience across a range of infrastructure platforms; the successful candidate will be passionate about technology and eager to develop their skillset.
Alongside an extensive technical knowledge, you will have experience of working with a variety of high-level stakeholders to represent the Infrastructure function at Group level and will contribute to overall IT strategy.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Work closely with Group Support and security teams to advise and implement:

  • Specialist experience of Networking protocols and ability to solve network related issues

  • Network Design / Architecture experience

  • VOIP solution and fault diagnosis

  • Cyber Safety & Security experience would be a desirable

  • MS Windows Server - configuration and support

  • Cloud solutions including O365/Teams/Sharepoint /Azure, including administration and troubleshooting

  • 3rd Line system support

  • SAN technologies administration

  • Active Directory / Group Policy Administration

  • Ensuring that all incidents, problems and requests are progressed and updated through to completion

  • Reporting and communications


    • Providing 3rd / 4th line technical support across the IT Infrastructure environment including network technologies. You will be involved in a variety of Infrastructure projects spanning from day-to-day operational improvements to new service delivery solutions.

    Required Experience

    ESSENTIAL:

  • Microsoft Windows and Windows Server operating systems

  • Microsoft Active Directory

  • O365 cloud solutions including Teams, Sharepoint and Office

  • Microsoft Azure including WVD & Intune

  • VEEAM & Veritas backup solutions

  • Powershell & Scripting

  • SDWAN and VOIP solutions

  • Cisco routers, Switches and Call Manager

  • TCP/IP protocol stack

  • Network infrastructure (WiFi, switching and routing, firewall, VLAN, LAN, WAN)

  • Excellent Virtualisation skills - VMware vSphere 6.x and Hyper-V

  • HP3Par and HP San solution knowledge


    • DESIRABLE:

  • CCNA

  • MSCE

  • Maritime experience in a similar role or IT related support role.
