Your profile

• Approx. 10 years of experience in IT with at least 4 years of experience in similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field from an accredited college or university
• Expert level expertise and technical know-how for data architecture, data quality, data storage concepts, data security, data governance and data democracy approaches
• Hands-on expertise with multiple database structure systems and data integration / analytics tools
• Good understanding of API driven architectures and related technologies
• Experience with data migration from legacy systems to new solutions
• Preferred domain understanding in the areas of Energy, Oil and Gas etc.
• Dedicated team player with the ability to work and navigate in a dynamic and international environment with many interfaces and a strong ability to drive change management
• You are proactive and self-determined, you take responsibility for your work and are target driven, you are able to think outside-of-the-box and you are willing to go the “extra-mile”

Your responsibilities

• Consult business and IT in the area of integration and data architecture
• Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions
• Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts
• Support the definition and development of the data strategy and architecture (e.g. common Siemens Energy information model, data catalogue, data storage/distribution/ provision concept)
• Work closely with data experts on corporate and divisional level from all company areas
• Define and maintain the architectural models for broader application and data integration
• Evaluate alternative architectural approaches on application, data and technology levels and prepare decision documents
• Research and evaluate new and/or alternative solutions and technologies to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce costs
• Working with different geographies across different time zones to execute responsibilities.
