Roles & Responsibilities:
- Partner across the FP&A, Treasury, Finance Systems and Controllership functions to drive enhanced visibility, accountability and predictability to the Internal Margins process and driving projects and aligning resources to improve the management of this cycle.
- Support key business projects to simplify and standardize reporting to drive increased visibility, accountability and real-time analytics.
- Lead internal margin operating mechanisms to estimate impacts across HCS.
- Partner with Region FP&A to drive visibility and understanding of internal margin.
- Develop, improve and standardize financial processes: Finance reporting tools, Management reporting tools and estimating processes.
- Develop and implement controls to approve and minimize manual journal entries.
- Develop new reports for process improvements. Partner with Finance Systems in digitizing required tools.
Required Qualification:
- Master’s degree with 8 plus years of progressive accounting or finance experience with Cost accountant/chartered accountant certification.
- Experience in multinational company with specialization in manufacturing and logistics finance.
- Strong in accounting standards, inventory accounting and costing.
- Experience with financial systems/applications (Oracle, Business Objects, Hyperion, etc.), strong Excel and Alteryx skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookup and macros).
- Experience of leading global teams and good communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualification:
- Strong analytic skills, clear thinking / problem solving, good project management skills to drive process improvement across global teams.
- Detail oriented, able to deal with multiple layers of complexity,
- Good understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP.
- Graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program (FMP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS).
