General Summary of the Job:

This is a global technical role with primarily responsible of software programming and scripting. Perform required automation using PowerShell, Python and other scripting languages for automating necessary day to day tasks to provide secure operations of highly available IT systems. Ensure ongoing reliability and performance by monitoring the operating environments, responding to incidents and problems, and planning for growth.

Essential Functions:
  • Automate IT related tasks by creating applications and scripts
  • Create and communicate team goals and procedures to team members
  • Provide Tier III user support for all inhouse applications issues and some desktop configuration applications.
  • Potentially acts as advisor to Associate level IT Infrastructure Engineers, etc.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, VBScirpt with an enterprise company
  • Knowledge of system administration and best practices for automation
  • Knowledge of Windows Infrastructure and Enterprise Endpoint.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, LDAP, DNS and other networking protocols

Desirable

  • Programming and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Web Application Development
  • Puppet, Ansible knowledge will be a plus
  • Software packaging and deployment
  • Configuration Management (SCCM) a plus

Education and Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum Associate degree with preferable emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering
  • At least 4 years of Programming and scripting experience

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment
  • Ability to travel domestic and global ~5%
