Job Description:

Internship - Service Bulletin Designer-Illustrator

Airbus Customer Service Engineering & Maintenance unit has the Retrofit Solutions organisation and its mission is to deliver and support value added Retrofit Solutions package to maintain continued aircraft airworthiness and improve Customers operations & profitability.

We are inviting an Internship program in the Retrofit Solutions Team for the Service Bulletin Production Team within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) located in Bangalore.

We are searching for enthusiastic people who want to experience the Upgrade services community.

You are understanding the definition and integration of retrofit design solutions for In-Service Aircraft. Main focus will be on producing the Service Bulletin as per Airbus Means , Methods and tools.

The Intern will be associated with the team Authoring Service Bulletin(SB) and/or Perform Illustrations for the Service Bulletin.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Learn and create the Service Bulletin ( authoring /Illustrations) using Airbus methods and tools.

  • Support the Analysis of impacted elements on the Aircraft due to the requested modification.

  • Define KITS( List of Components) essential for Modification by SB.

  • Identify the access details to perform the modification/inspection.

  • Assist to Identify the Pre-condition / Post-condition on the Aircraft.

  • Learn & Adhere to Airbus Process , Methods & Tools.

  • Refer Airbus relevant documents and data for the analysis.

  • Refer and study 3D Data / 2D Drawings to perform the analysis.

  • Creation of Illustrations using draw tools like Tech-Draw.

  • Execute the activities as per Airbus process/methods/tools.


For this position the following skills are requested

  • Bachelors of Engineering (Mechanical or Aeronautical) or AME

  • Knowledge of Aircraft Structures and Systems

  • Knowledge on 3D engineering tools such as CATIA.

  • Knowledge on reading Engineering Drawings.

  • You are well organised, proactive and independent work is natural for you.

  • A good level of English is mandatory.
