Customer requirements for machinery safety approvals

The requirements of independent approval bodies, all without impeding their ability to deliver efficient, timely and cost-effective control solutions to customers

Be the Subject Matter Expert at a senior technical level in planning and delivering functional safety solutions including both software/firmware and hardware

Knowledge of and ability to implement products to international standards for safety related control systems, IEC 62061, IEC 61508 or a related standard in Aero, Rail, Defence, Medical, Nuclear etc

Create, operate and maintain relevant design processes and documentation systems

Work cooperatively with worldwide engineering groups with varying levels of expertise and diverse cultures

Under general direction, works on complex projects/programs and defines objectives for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs, systems and procedures necessary to ensure the overall safety and health of employees and thee campus community

Evaluates operational needs and industry EHS standards to construct and launch programs that complement the Institute’s operational framework and mission

Applies specialized technical knowledge of processes, procedures, and equipment used in monitoring and auditing EHS conditions

Performs complex investigative/technical work in a wide range of EHS issues to effect and maintain institute compliance with all internal and external EHS protocols and requirements
