Cloud Solutions Architect – VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC)

• Deliver Private (VMWare) cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company and assist in modernizing efforts by planning
  
• Provide expert technical involving VMware Cloud Services including VMC on AWS, Hybrid Cloud Extension. Assist in technically managing initial proof-of-concepts and pilots & Customer Production workload migration.
  
• Build Private (VMWare) cloud with related services
  
• Offer guidance in application migration from the on-premise data center to Private (VMWare) Cloud with related services, including HCX Hybrid Cloud Extension.
  
• Translate organizational level business requirements and use cases into architectural capabilities verified to meet the requirements
  
• Design solution-independent architecture models that map business services to cloud application stacks
  
• Continuously manage, monitor, and update architecture models as business needs evolve and additional cloud services become available
  
• Assist product owners, solution architects, and application architects in designing scalable, highly available, secure, cost-effective solutions that leverage cloud services
  
• Define and document cloud solution architecture(s) including technical designs and diagrams.
  
• Drive the adoption and Usage of VMware products and Cloud Solutions within strategic Service Provider accounts.
  
• Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of Cloud solutions, industry directions and trends.
  
• Lead the technical community discussions and facilitate knowledge dissemination to the VMware and Partner Subject Matter Experts with regards to VMware products in conjunction with Cloud solutions and architectures
  
• Document best practices & architectural references in developing and deploying VMware Cloud solutions.

Requirements

• 
  Must be able to work collaboratively with others.
  
• Enthusiastic, self-starter with a charismatic personality with proven track record of selling technical solutions and services as part of a solution.
  
• Proven success and knowledge in developing and leading Service Provider Partners/Customers.
  
• The Individual should have relevant and current VMware experience with vCloud Director, NSX, HCX and VMC on AWS as well as a strong understanding of IT automation, management, orchestration, and cloud management platform capabilities driving IaaS, SaaS and PaaS. Google Cloud, Amazon Cloud and Azure experience is also preferred.
  
• 8 - 10+ years of experience in technology related areas including: enterprise systems management and infrastructure (datacenter) architecture experience with significant depth around designing, implementing, and managing critical business infrastructure. Engagement experience should include IT strategy initiatives, middleware implementations, and leveraging overall technical architecture knowledge across multiple industries.
  
• The individual should have extensive architectural skills dealing with infrastructure solutions such as systems management and business continuity. Expert level knowledge of advanced networking, storage architectures and programming experience is desirable.
  
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are required along with excellent presentation skills and strong customer facing and relationship building skills.
  
• Self-driven and must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting.
  
• Strong listening and question based selling skills with the ability to uncover business challenges and develop a custom solution to solve those challenges.
  
• VCP Certification or higher; Having other certifications like one or more of the public cloud services including AWS, Azure and GCP also preferred.

• 
  5 years’ experience designing, executing and supporting Private (VMWare) cloud with hands on experience.
  
• 5 years experience in migration from on-premise data center to VMWare Cloud (VMC) or others & with related VMWare tools and migration tools.
  
• Expert level in Infrastructure & Application architecting in Private (VMWare) Cloud including vSphere, vCenter, vRealize, NSX, HCX, vSAN, Site Recovery Manager.
  
• Has strong experience in migration from an on-prem data center to VMWare Private Cloud with related VMWare tools and migration tools.
  
• Familiar Hybrid Cloud and related technology and be able to support connection with Azure and AWS cloud in Hybrid Cloud
  
• Expert in VMWare Private Cloud cost model, tools, and services.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field.
