Whether you are an eCommerce giant, a Silicon Valley startup, or a simple offline retailer, you are consuming and storing more data than ever before in order to run your business. This isn’t new news. We know that data, and how we manage and protect that data, represents an enormous market opportunity. While the majority of the technology stack has already gone cloud native, the data management industry is still behind. Purpose

This role is leading a team of engineers responsible for building and enhancing Druva products end-to-end through the full product development lifecycle from product roadmap planning, requirements specification, design, delivery, test, documentation, release management to support and maintenance. This role is also responsible for smooth operations of the site and office location that hosts these engineers by coordinating with various stakeholders and enduring a safe working environment for employees in the branch office location.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering leaders, product management and strategic partners to define and deliver on the technical strategy and product vision.
  • Collaborate with escalations, customer support, sales and sales engineering to enable the best customer outcomes - both existing and new acquisitions.
  • Drive the focus on end-to-end service ownership (discovery, delivery and post production support)
  • Continuously assess newer and emerging technologies/customer use cases.
  • Building a data driven culture that focuses on measuring and improving on key metrics defined by the team with a focus on operational excellence through continuous improvement.
  • Presents at technical conferences, campuses to market Druva’s technical edge, excellence and enhance Druva brand.
  • Establish and manage the new branch office and resources.
  • Assign and direct all work performed in the branch and to supervise all areas of operation.
  • Manage staff, foster a positive environment and ensure satisfactory client management and proper branch operation.
  • Direct all operational aspects including operations, account Management, human resources, administration and new business development.
  • Bring out the best of branches people by providing training, coaching, development and motivation
  • Works closely with the Talent Acquisition team to design technical tests, interview questions and coding challenges.
  • Creates technical learning cohorts and drives learning programs within Druva.

Desired Skills

  • BE/BTech/CS degree with 10 or more years of related technology experience and 5 or more years of direct management experience delivering projects using Agile/SCRUM methodologies
  • Passionate, detail oriented and capable of managing many critical projects with multiple stakeholders without losing sight of the big picture
  • Must have great interpersonal and relationship-building skills as well as keen analytical and strategic mind
  • Self-motivated, persistent and a consummate team player
  • Excellent planning and problem solving skills with the ability to work in a fast paced and limited resource environment. Dynamic, motivated, and results oriented creative thinker
  • A clear understanding of the product development cycle, technical requirements and project management.
  • Track record of establishing best practices, processes and tools around software development and delivery
  • A demonstrated ability to function successfully as a leader with entrepreneurial zeal, and desire to develop in a manager/director role
  • Work effectively with staff and senior management team and demonstrate favourable results through providing leadership to staff through mentoring, coordinating and advising.
