As Lilly strives to achieve these objectives, we have embarked on building and in-housing a state-of-the-art “next-best action recommendation engine” platform to enable more agile sales and marketing operations. This platform will

  • ingest a wide variety of data sources,
  • run advanced personalized marketing models
  • and integrate seamlessly with all other Lilly SF and marketing operations platforms

to provide recommendations on “what should we do next” to the sales and marketing teams at the individual doctor level, enabling better decision making and improving customer experience.

We are looking for a highly experienced technology operations and solutions leader who will lead the overall program for the Omnichannel Operations Team at LCCI, which will deliver SF and marketing campaign operations for Eli Lilly US. The ideal candidate will have both the technical depth and breadth needed to play an SME role for this transformational program, along with strong program and people management experience that have resulted in successful implementations of this nature.

Mandatory Requirements:

Technical and behavioral skills/qualifications:

  • MBA, esp. in Operations and/or Marketing, with Bachelors in Engineering, operations, information systems or other relevant fields
  • 12+ years’ experience, with a majority in progressive execution and leadership of complex commercial operations programs, using a wide variety of cutting-edge CDP tools and technologies (Veeva, SFDC, SFMC, Adobe, Javelin, Tealium etc), including personalization engine-driven marketing campaigns
  • 10+ years with operational project/program management delivery accountability, and 6+ years with direct people management responsibilities
  • Significant experience of the digital marketing ecosystem (customer data, analytics, content creation and management, A/B testing etc
  • Proven program leadership and change management skills to enable successful overall delivery in a dynamic environment in a large matrixed team and virtual work models
  • Strong understanding of how technology-driven data management and analytics drive better personalized marketing campaigns
  • Experience, with certifications, of leading project management on large marketing programs in Agile/Scrum setups, using JIRA or other relevant platforms
  • Advanced certifications in Process Improvement (Lean Six Sigma etc)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Highly preferred: In-depth knowledge of pharma commercial data landscape (patient- and HCP-level data) and its use in sales and marketing operations
  • Recent experience of at least 2 years with integrating AI/ML-driven recommendation engines to automate these operations (working closely with data science and IT groups)
  • Time spent onshore/onsite in the US, esp in Commercial Operations/Analytics Program management roles
  • Product development leadership in digital marketing operations and/or personalization
  • Prior experience with executing (and managing) US pharmaceutical digital marketing operations (how emails, web, P2P channels are used for marketing to doctors) and specific services (Epocrates, Medscape, Doximity etc), either with an agency or through in-house service centers
