Job Description and Requirements

License Compliance Analyst; Location: Bangalore, India
  • Develop best practices and support data management, data mining, analytics, and reporting to support the Synopsys software anti-piracy functions.
  • Performs and/or reviews detailed account analyses that drive the selection and prioritization processes to select candidates for software anti-piracy actions.
  • Review and qualify call-home infringement data and the infringing organizations.
  • Partner closely with the Regional Compliance managers to utilize compliance procedures and processes in line with industry best practices.
  • Performs benchmark research and studies in the areas of software license investigation, revenue recovery techniques, industry best practices and local governmental requirements.
  • Partner with business stakeholders in scoping and outlining best practices/processes to drive revenue generation from the anti-piracy program.
  • Coordinate and drive cross-functional alignment (Business/Operations/IT /External Vendors).
  • Maintain effective communications with all partnering functions and management to ensure program success.
  • Lead by example and have a deep commitment to the organizational goals.
  • Partner with Software Engineering team to drive efforts in detecting piracy.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s):
  • Ability to summarize and convey information with clarity and directness, ensuring the message is understood across diverse, global teams.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Independently resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways on a regular basis.
  • Customarily exercises independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
  • Excellent creative problem-solving abilities, coupled with a desire to take on responsibility.
Preferred KSA’s:
  • Working experience with forensic tools used by the software license compliance industry, preferably Smartflow/Cylynt.
  • Working experience with SAP Financials, Business Warehouse, and related business applications and systems (i.e., SaaS, Contract Management System, MS SharePoint).
  • Working experience with detecting piracy and researching piracy related websites.
Experience/Education/Certification:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of general business experience or an advanced business-related degree.
  • Proficient in data mining, analytics, and reporting.
  • Proficient in use of Excel.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, or Information Sciences (IT)
