General Summary of the Job:

This is a global technical lead role primarily responsible for the delivery of management services for Mac clients. Perform required Mac/Jamf system administration activities necessary to provide secure operations of highly available IT systems including server, storage, and virtualized computing platforms. Ensure ongoing reliability and performance by monitoring the operating environments, responding to incidents and problems, and planning for growth.

Essential Functions:
  • Create and communicate team goals and procedures to team members
  • Provide Tier III user support for all Mac software deployment issues and some desktop configuration issues on Mac systems.
  • Provide training on the Jamf platform to other team members when applicable.
  • Potentially acts as advisor to Associate level IT Infrastructure Engineers, etc.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of implementation, configuration, support, road map, and design/planning of Apple / Mac / Jamf rollouts to an enterprise company
  • Knowledge of system administration and best practices for Mac systems
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, LDAP, DNS and other networking protocols

Desirable

  • Mac, Windows 10 & Office 365 technical troubleshooting
  • Software packaging and deployment
  • Mobile Device Management (Intune & Jamf)
  • Programming and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Computer hardware settings and best practices
  • Antivirus and other encryption products
  • Configuration Management (SCCM) a plus
  • Jamf 300 certification a plus

Education and Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum Associate degree with preferable emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering
  • At least 5 years managing Jamf infrastructure
  • At least 7 years client support including Mac support

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment
  • Ability to travel domestic and global ~5%
