Position Description

The purpose of this position is to ensure all Global projects are running on-time, on-budget and are successfully launched at a regional level as per business case metrics to enable corporate long-term growth targets by applying all project management principles to the projects (meeting minutes, forecasts, milestones). The secondary purpose of this position is to manage the global NPL process in Smartsheet, coordinate SOP quarterly planning meetings and work to ensure compliance amongst all regions. This role will make sure the regions are fully aware of all global project initiatives and support successful transitions of global projects to regions from phase 2 to phase 3. From the start, the person will assist with the year one roll out of a new project management system to key stakeholders, and continue with the monthly tracking of key financial and performance metrics for all projects.
  • Candidates for this position can also be located in Africa, India, Australia, and New Zealand.
Job Responsibilites

Financial
  • Report on global and regional projects including phase progression, risks, mitigation plans, budgets, forecasts, actuals on a monthly basis
  • Assist with quarterly impairment review with all regions

Customer
  • Ensure compliance with agreed processes and reporting for projects, attending project meetings to ensure these occur that information is disseminated to relevant stakeholders and theat project remains on schedule and issues/risks are discussed
  • Identify best practices and methodologies for R&D project planning, management and efficient practices, translating lessons learned into improved R&D project management processes across the organization
  • Develop materials and methodology for continuous training of the global and regional project organization on new R&D PMO processes, and the link with New Product Introduction/Launch processes
  • In collaboration with the Global PMO Systems Manager, roll out Planisware to global and regional users including the development of training materials and launch meetings, and participate on the project team to ensure that the Global Category Teams are fully represented in version updates

Process/Operations
  • Ensure monthly project team meetings for Global projects are occuring with proper documentation including forecast updates, milestones, risks and meeting minutes)
  • Assist project managers in task planning and team management
  • Deploy and manage key performance metrics and phase/task plan review processes on a monthly basis to ensure portfoilo is executing to schedule and investment portofolio (SG&A, CAPEX) and objectives & milestones
  • Track Global projects and coordinate with project managers and team members on monthly basis, driving action plans for projects identified as off-track or at risk
  • Facilitate a timely and efficient transition of Global Projects in Phase 2 to the Business Unit level (R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain)
  • Drive Phase 3 review meetings for global projects to make sure the project teams are well prepared
  • Own the global NPL process, facilitate the quarterly review meetings and driving the compliance of actions within the NPL tool

Individual/Team
  • Facilitate the dissemination of project management best practices across the team

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical/scientific field such as Agronomy, Chemistry, Biology
  • 7-10 years’ experience in Agrochemicals, preferably in regional and global roles, technical (regulatory, development), commercial, and/or project management
Perferred Education/Experience
  • Master’s Degree in Finance or MBA
  • Prior experience in Project Management, Supplemental Finance and/or Business
  • Proficient Project Management, Finance, Regulatory or Development skills
