Life and Limb is a MedTech company incorporated in 2020 where we innovate, design, and engineer biomedical devices. Our focus revolves around prostheses solutions that are cost-effective, state-of-art, and custom-built for each user. We aim to revolutionize this domain with innovative solutions that are accessible, affordable, and aspirational.

We have done pilot testing for our first product — BIONICLI®, a myoelectric prosthetic hand with fourteen grip patterns that can achieve more than 15% of the activities of daily living. We need your help in replicating the design for customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking forward to expanding the core team with skill sets in handling raw 3D scan files, engineering, design, and analysis of mechanical parts. You should be able to handle multiple CAD files and assemblies and have an understanding of limits and tolerances.

• Generate 3D models from 3D scans and use commercial and research software to design patient-specific prostheses mimicking the anatomical features of the human hand,
• Perform tasks under the company’s defined milestones and work independently to achieve project goals.
• Delicate and precise assembly of the devices and testing setup.
• Mechanical and electrical testing of the device.
• Parametric model generation for modulating the mechanism and the CAD features.
• Work with surfacing and form tools in the CAD environment.
• Work with all the core team members to facilitate and implement new designs, engineering changes, and desk research for generating high-quality renders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 0-1 year of experience using 3D CAD modeling software.
• Knowledge of Autodesk FUSION 360 is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in engineering or equivalent education or job experience.

• Be able to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy and quality in documentation and data.
• Must have the ability to adapt to changing pace within the company, with frequent interruptions.
• Must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to diverse roles as a member of the core team.
• Willingness to learn needed skills on the job in order to enhance performance.
• Proficient in using Google Workspace.
