Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our team. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a crucial role in annotating data for training machine learning models. You will be responsible for accurately documenting medical information from audio conversations/transcripts into SOAP notes. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical terminology will contribute to the success of our machine learning initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Write SOAP notes based on audio conversations/transcripts to accurately capture medical information.
• Review and revise SOAP notes to correct any errors or inconsistencies.
• Ensure strict compliance with national and local patient privacy laws, including HIPAA and HITECH.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical terminology and human anatomy.
• Stay updated on current regulations, such as the 2021 CPT and E/M coding changes, to ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical scribe in the outpatient primary care domain.
• Previous experience annotating SOAP notes from audio files/transcripts.
• Degree in Computational Linguistics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Botany, B.Pharm, or a related field.
• Proficient in English with excellent literacy skills.
• Bachelor’s degree with a pre-med career track is preferred.
• Bonus: Medical Scribe certification.
• Experience as a data annotator for machine learningis a plus.
• Excellent typing speed to ensure efficient and accurate documentation.
• Familiarity with billing codes for medical procedures and services.
• Experience working for other automated medical scribe companies such as Nuance, DeepScribe, Augmedix is desirable.
