Cloud Foundation Services ( CFS) is a strategic component (in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) for providing critical cloud services to multiple Oracle Global Business Unit applications. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure ( OCI), Oracle’s second generation Infrastructure as a Service ( IaaS), provides improved performance and reliability. CFSprovides a MicroService-driven platform, software delivery tool chain, and a continuous integration/continuous delivery operations model to support high margin, highly elastic, and highly available Software as a Service ( SaaS) applications.
Position Description:
The candidate will support the Oracle Cloud Foundation Services Business Unit Cloud Operations Stack by contributing to the full development and test automation of domain agnostic services developed for our Oracle Communication Cloud SaaS Micro-Service applications. As a DevOps Engineer in SDaaSteam, you will be involved significantly in taking on several new initiatives to enhance and scale our applications and to model, develop, support CI/CDtools and workflows in a complex distributed environment.
Responsibilities:
Build automation, integration and continuously delivered software.
Implement modern configuration management practices.
Manage workflows for multiple projects and partners.
Develop/enhance automation for integration across various DevOps tools.
Enhance the automated CI / CDwith new automation.
Implement DR and HA support for SDaaS Services
Troubleshoot and solve complex application, workflow and tools problems through research, analysis and collaboration with team members.
Key requirements:
Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX, Python, Shell scripting, Java Scripting.
DevOps toolchain experience: GIT, Jenkins, Scans (code & artifacts), Monitoring, Artifactory, JIRA etc
Good understanding about Cloud Infrastructure (OCI/AWS/GCS/..)
Container Management and container orchestration experience Docker, Kubernetes
Good understanding of technologies and experience in building a highly scalable and fault tolerant system
Strong understanding and practice Agile/Lean projects SCRUM, KANBAN etc
Knowledge of technology best practices for building modern automated devops platform
Knowledge of developing GUI based Application(s).
Exposure to Data/Control Plane base Services.
Self-starter, capable of working without direction and able to deliver from scratch.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member. 2+years of experience supporting CI/CDtools (and developing integration across it). BS (/ MS)or equivalent desired.



Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
