Job Description:

  • Responsible for providing senior-level network administration to ensure the overall stability, integrity, and efficiency of assigned system(s) infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical service and support.
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve highly advanced complex issues in support of business processing requirements.
  • Anticipates and mitigates potential attacks through a network or other connections to ensure the security of the system. Analyse business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their architecture framework.
  • Must have a large enterprise, client-facing experience with design/solutions/implementation.
  • CISCO Certifications are Highly preferred. MUST have solid experience with CISCO L2/L3 and enterprise-level switching and routing.
  • Design, configure, and install various network devices and services, from routing, switching, and firewalls, which may require you to analyse anticipated bandwidth consumption for new clients, Properly set the scope and timelines of new projects to meet completion deadlines, which may be medium to large scale complex projects affecting the entire network.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands and tasks and successfully manage multiple engagements that may require additional resources.
  • Work within established configuration and change management (ITIL) policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure, including having experience vetting updates.
  • Providing advice on computer network management, design, and implementation
  • Providing technical support, troubleshooting problems, identifying causes of system failure and recommending solutions
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks and internet systems for small businesses or large corporations
  • Determining the best way to use existing technology to solve business problems and develop new ways of using technology to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Recommending changes to existing technology infrastructure to improve efficiency or solve problems
  • Recommending new technologies that might improve efficiency or solve problems
  • Establishing security policies and procedures to protect computer networks from intruders
  • Planning, installing, configuring, or supporting networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), intranets, and extranets
  • Monitoring network performance, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and troubleshooting problems
  • Perform advanced network engineering level functions in support of a multi-site enterprise environment.
  • Proficient in Linux/Unix operating systems
