About the company:

We set out to fight hunger, poverty, and climate change in 2018. After carrying out some volunteering and small-scale activities, we formed ourselves into a charitable trust in May 2018. Over the last 2+ years, our primary beneficiaries have been marginal farmers (farmers withholding of less than 1 hectare), waste workers and rag pickers, migrant and daily wage workers affected by the lock-down imposed in March 2020. We were recognized as a charitable trust under sections 80G and 12A of the IT Act. While forming ourselves into a trust, we decided to add plastic waste to the list of problems that we wanted to do something about. Over the last two years, we have been trying to work with low-value plastic waste (low value, multi-layer packaging, chips packets, etc) and waste workers. We were chosen among 12 startups by the Indian Oil Corporation startup program to mentor our project on ’Providing sustainable livelihoods through low-value waste plastic.’

About the internship/job:

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Identifying a local interlocking paver block maker 2. Identifying mason and labor to carry out laying of interlocking blocks 3. Overseeing the making of paver blocks and laying at the identified site

  • can start the part time job/internship between 3rd Aug’21 and 7th Sep’21
  • are available for duration of 3 months
  • have already graduated or are currently in any year of study
