Package Detail Engineer, Front End Engineering

Your profile

• Associate of Science in an Engineering discipline or similar
• 3+ years of experience in Rotating Equipment for Oil & Gas and other Process Industry applications, through at least one role in Proposals, Customer Order Engineering or Product Line Engineering
• Detailed knowledge in application of design standards and creating of manufacturing drawings for large steel structures as well as detailed knowledge about the related product structure
• Experience using NX and Teamcenter for creating complex assembly structures, integrating rotating and non-rotating equipment, and overall package drawings, like general arrangements, piping or electrical layouts in the power generation or compression industry
• Experience in coordinating 3D models and drawings with drafters, following up on the progress, providing guidance and performing 3D model and drawing reviews
• General understanding of package components, like on-skid piping, coupling guards, cabling, enclosures, and their impact on the package design
• Experience in development of guidelines, template documents, checklists in relation to detail engineering activities

Your responsibilities

• Support Bid Management with creating or coordination 3D layouts, general arrangement drawings for rotating equipment proposals
• Guiding drafters and ensure high quality of 3D models and drawings provided
• Develop design guidelines for 3D assemblies and template drawings related to rotating equipment assemblies and arrangement drawings, which support quality and productivity improvement in the Front End Engineering process
• Interact with other departments, like Bid Management, Product Engineering and Customer Order Engineering or use of software other than Teamcenter or NX to gather required input for 3D assemblies and drawings
• Build and maintain a reference database for 3D models and bid documents serving as go-to point for references
• Implement lessons learned, improvement and cost reduction measures to Front End Engineering documents and verification of their effectiveness
• Participate in Handover process to Customer Order Engineering and preparation of the handover deliverables, like drawings, 3D model and databases
