As one of the global market leaders in the field of electrical insulation materials, we are looking for you as a dedicated Planning and Fulfilment Manager for Transformer Components & Service [TCS] Factory, Mysore location. Proactively drive our strategic procurement and supplier development as well as our planning, transport, and logistics processes. Seize the opportunity and shape the future together with us. Our Planning & Fulfilment team is responsible for delivering Operations Planning strategies, Production Planning processes and Inventory management processes. You will report to the Head of Factory Operations.Your responsibilities- You will be accountable for the supply base performance in regard to materials to be delivered on time and on quality.
- You will implement the global/regional materials and CAPEX related sourcing strategy for the site and directly be accountable for some local spend.
- You advise and support internal departments in procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, conceptualize procurement strategies (qualification, alternative suppliers) and implement them - in cooperation with the BU/Hub category managers
- You further develop purchase to pay processes and focus on their interfaces, management, and improvement
- You will conduct negotiations including the enforcement of the group’s specifications with regard to terms and conditions and contracting processes
- You build up and develop a resilient supply base
- You take over the overall control of the planning activities for the site to ensure that processes run smoothly and efficiently in terms of target achievement
- You will ensure delivery performance in terms of lead times and inventory levels
- You will collaborate with the regional transportation center of excellence and continuously improve the collaboration
- You actively contribute to the success of the company as a member of the site management team
- You will lead the various teams in purchasing, production planning and internal logistics
- You will lead, motivate and develop the team in line with the company’s HR policy
- Preferably technical degree, such as mechanical engineering or industrial engineering or a similar qualification
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in technical sourcing / supply chain/ value chain / logistics management
- Several years of management experience of cross-functional teams
- Experienced handling of MS Office and SAP / related ERP systems
- Business fluent in written and spoken English
- Well-organized team player with strong communication skills, negotiation and leadership skills
