To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals in the position of Potline Process In-charge.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure operational efficiency by monitoring overall system and operational parameters of Pot Room Process
• Coordinate with cast house, pot controller and maintenance team for process control
• Ensure compliance of SOP’s in plant operation and appropriate actions in case of deviations
• Plan and execute all technical activities in pot room and handle emergency situations during critical time
• Develop efficient systems in order to monitor the operations and process parameters such as current efficiency, amperage, purity, bath chemistry control etc.
• Ensure the operations follow the compliances under IMS, EnMS & AO systems
• Maintain healthy equipments, safe & conducive work atmosphere for people
• Provide feedback on safety performance and help safety dept. in preparing action plans
• Compliance of QMS, OHSAS, ISO – 14001 requirements. Maintain records as per legal and HSE requirement

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

• To Monitor Pot parameters (like Voltage, Bath Temperature, Bath Levels, Metal Levels)
• To analyze problems which hinder the pot operation (High Temps, Mush rooms, Drop in Al purity levels, High Ae Frequency.)
• Good communication skills & ability to be good team player/ team leader
• Good decision making ability on emergency and critical situations to safeguard personnel, production & equipments
• Ability to analyze the problems in the pot operation
• Leadership and communication skills with an in-depth knowledge of Aluminium smelter Process & technology.
• Good exposure of recent industry development, Proficiency in Project Monitoring and Management.
• Awareness of IMS systems and best practices.
• Awareness of legal requirements. Knowledge on CBM, TQM Initiatives and Sustainability Framework is desired.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• B.E / B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Metallurgy / Production
• 8 - 12 years of experience in Aluminium Industry.
