The Purpose of Your Role

At Fidelity Personal Investing (PI), we are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to drive end-to-end solution architecture for Lifetime Engagement Domain. In this role, as an Architecture Chapter member, you will closely work across Tribes/Squads to architect solution to meet business priorities and initiatives. You will define architecture solution in alignment to cloud-first, mainframe modernization and digital strategy and initiatives. You will work collaboratively across multiple domain/tribes, chapters and CoEs to help cultivate innovation, drive standardization and deliver on new technology patterns across the stack. You will drive solution and roadmap evolution in conjunction with business goals. You will proactively manage Tech Debt and provide guidance to Tribe/Squads in alignment to PI Tech Debt priorities. You will provide leadership in computing services, adoption of platforms and consolidation across Fidelity PI Technology initiatives. Some of the initiatives could span across other business units requiring end-to-end solution in collaboration with ECC, WI and FI. This role will be a very hands-on role driving the overall technical and solutions architecture. You will be responsible for the all aspects of the application architecture and security. You will work closely with Data Engineering chapter to best align with Data Strategy and Architecture. You will collaboratively with other Tribe/Squads influencing to drive digital modernization efforts.

The Expertise You Have

• Minimum 6-8 years of industry experience in architecture, analytics, design, software development.
• roven track record as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead, crafting new solutions with data-architecture first mind-set
• Experience or certification in Cloud-based (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Desire/ability to learn and implement new technologies
• Experience with Agile development methodology
• Background with multiple enterprise technologies
• Experience with Micro Services pattern & SOA methodology
• Experience with API Management, domain modeling, policy modeling.
• Strong software development skills and experience using Java (Spring), web application technologies (Angular) and mobile applications (iOS, Android) in a service-oriented architecture.
• Experience with multiple applications languages, including but not limited to JAVA, Cobol in all variants.
• Experience with integration frameworks.
• Financial industry experience preferred.

• Regularly provide guidance and mentoring to enable other team members to meet/exceed expectations.
• Demonstrates comprehensive decision-making authority over technical issues, project policies, standards, and strategies
• Ability to drive solutions architecture design and ownership and articulate architecture solution options to the product owners and architecture leadership.
• Engagement with Project Teams to deliver Architecture artifacts, drive issue resolution, wellness plans, and product roadmaps with incremental MVP.
• Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.
• Proven expert understanding of the agile development process and DevOps practices.

The primary objective of the team in India is to enable the PI businesses, working with our IT business partners in the US. The Expertise We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of IT experience in architecture, design and development delivery experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or technical field
• Certifications if any
