What you’ll achieve
As a Service Delivery Engineer, you will provide world-class delivery support to our customers by building an in-depth knowledge of our customers’ priorities and initiatives and becoming a trusted advisor that avoids customer impact and facilitates continuous improvement. You will identify potential sales and growth opportunities and will partner with key stakeholders to maximize these prospects.

You will:

• Supports mission critical and business critical production database systems
• Provides expert-level support for Pivotal Container Service (PKS) & Gemfire architecture, Install, patch, upgrade and migrate Pivotal Container Service (PKS) using Automations
• Experience with Gemfire Security, Disk Stores & SSL Communication management, Proactive monitoring, tuning, periodic maintenance and capacity planning on Infra
• Contributes to the quick resolution of database performance issues and root cause analysis and preventing recurring issues, Works with global, cross-cultural teams in troubleshooting of critical issue
• Recent experience with design, implementation and operations of Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) & Platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solutions and/or Application modernization, migration and development on Platform-as-a-service (PaaS) platforms.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree with 8+ years relevant experience
• Deep knowledge on the Cloud Solutions and hybrid cloud environments, container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Pivotal Container Service (PKS) , Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)— preferred
• Experience in implementing PaaS solutions such as: Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes.
• Good knowledge of Gemfire Security, Disk Stores & Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Communication management
• Experience building distributed / service oriented / microservice-style and cloud-based architectures, Exposure to Concourse & Bosh features

Desirable requirements:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred
• EMCSA, EMCTA Storage Certifications preferred
• ITIL v3 Foundation preferred
