Printing Job Responsibilities

Review job orders to determine any special printing instructions, stock specifications, colours, or quantities to be printed. Operate machine to give printing directions in accordance to job order and specification. Start presses and check proofs for ink alignment, registration, density, and coverage. Do adjustments as required. Minimize period by troubleshooting stoppages and breakdowns of the printing machine Correct printing errors on substrate with minimum wastage of material and time. Ensure that printing cylinders, ink accessories, viscosity controllers are cleaned properly after production. Collect random samples and inspect them during print runs to determine if any adjustments need to be made and do adjustments as required with proper tagging as per SOP. Monitor and respond quickly to error, alert, or fault messages on automated press operation systems; do adjustment as required. Load substrate onto presses, adjusting when necessary to accommodate various substrate considering treatment side of the same. Sample checking all rolls & pasting defect checklist sticker, putting comments after checking & signing it and collecting the samples. To control Ink GSM of printed sample. Closing monitoring of viscosities through manual measurement and automated control. To take ownership and responsibility for shortfall/extra print length production of job against planned kilometer. To take ownership and responsibility for weight difference production if any To take ownership and responsibility for all the safety device are working well during production and safety precautions are taken without any lapse. To take ownership and responsibility to complete job change over within targeted timeline and & overall productivity of the machine to meet the target plan. To take ownership and responsibility to work on zero waste culture and to take corrective and preventive action in case there is any additional wastage occurred in the shift. To take ownership and responsibility for Filling Logbook during running job in shift and to incorporate production data in the ERP. To take ownership and responsibility that “Stage Gate” from Cylinders and Inks are cleared. To take ownership and responsibility for machine area Management, overall Cleanliness of the Department and 5S+S To coordinate with various stake holders and overall supervision in shop floor

Job Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma in printing technology from a govt recognized college/University.
• Experience 8 to 10 years to operate gravure printing machine independently.
• Exhibit good knowledge of Quality Management System
• Exhibit good knowledge of colour combination in gravure technology
• Being reliable
• Being smart and agile
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
