The Last Mile Analytics and Quality team (LMAQ) works within Last Mile Tech to bridge the gaps on problems where no technology exists or the tech solution is in the works. The team has an eco-system of quality specialists, program managers and BI Engineers working together to improve geo-spatial data quality and support the driver lifecycle & experience programs.

The Role

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated program manager to own new initiatives impacting customer experience and drive programs to bring positive change in business metrics. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team focused on a promising growth area for Amazon. An ideal candidate has excellent program management skills with a background in business/data analytics. S/he has the ability to drive a team towards a goal, extract and analyze data with ease, suggest process improvements, standardize our processes and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This position will require good communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. The successful candidate will be proficient in solving complex logistics challenges and possess a bias to get things done and deliver results.

Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and influence projects in a fast-paced environment through superior quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills.
  • Lead initiatives to identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s Last Mile operations.
  • Must be able to systematically escalate problems or deviations in the operating plan to the relevant stakeholders and monitor mitigation mechanisms to ensure they are delivered.
  • Work within time constraint to meet critical business needs, while monitoring activities in the pipeline and ensuring service requirements are met.
  • Develop training programs, own KPIs and performance improvement initiatives in the organization.
  • Develop performance metrics to assist with driving business results.
  • Good communication, both verbal and written to share updates on issues, operational status and business drivers with internal and external stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience in program or project management
  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Technology)
  • 2+ years of experience in a Business/data analyst along with stakeholder management.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels.
  • Business focused thinking, an ability to focus on key issues and a strong hands-on, results driven mentality.
  • Proficiency in data extraction using SQL and data analysis using Excel.
  • Experience in developing business cases.
  • Ability to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Awareness of analytical tools (such as Quicksight/Tableau/PowerBI etc).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as R and Python.
  • Strong hold on statistical concepts incl. experimentation design, hypothesis testing etc.
  • A good sense of humor, a positive attitude, and great team work skills.
