Job Summary
We’re looking for a Program Manager to join the Program Management & Operations Team to work with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization to drive progress & action against our strategic projects. The successful candidate will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible, completed on time and within scope and budget. This role reports to the Vice President Program Management and Operations, and is based in Hootsuite’s Vancouver office (post COVID-19) or remotely across Canada or the US (in accordance with Hootsuite’s local employment entities). The successful candidate will need to be able to travel from time to time to other Hootsuite offices.
What you’ll do
Work along Executive Sponsors and senior leaders on the most important corporate-level programs/projects in the business Influence senior leaders to execute on the programs/projects as defined during the annual or quarterly strategic planning sessions Manage and influence cross-functional stakeholders relationships (ie: Executive and Leadership Teams) to hit timelines & goals Coordinate internal resources, third party / vendor and customer alignment for the flawless execution of projects Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget Facilitates the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques Report and escalate as needed regarding status, risks, roadblocks and mitigations of projects Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders Perform risk management to minimize project risks Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors/end customers Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps Summarizes business case briefings for Executive and senior leader review and decision making Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with customers as well as other staff members Perform other related duties as assigned
What we’re looking for
WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Proven working experience as a project manager, ideally senior level years of product development project management experience. Strong project / program management, requirements management, change management and customer management skills. Demonstrable experience in scaled agile environments, preferably utilizing industry-standard frameworks such as SAFe.
