Brief about Aseema: Aseema Charitable Trust is a Mumbai based non-governmental organization with a mission to equip children from marginalized communities with high quality, value based education enabling development of their limitless potential. It works in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and is currently running three MCGM schools – The Pali Chimbai Municipal School in Bandra (West) The Santacruz Municipal School in Santacruz West and The Kherwadi Municipal School in Bandra (East).

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To coordinate and remain updated on human resource issues of the staff through regular meetings with the sectional heads. (Mumbai & Igatpuri)
  • To prepare the staff plan before the new academic session and ensure the schools and offices are fully staffed.
  • To develop incentive and retention programmes where relevant to motivate and retain staff.
  • To conduct monthly surveys to get staff feedback on any concerns, training requirements etc.
  • To have knowledge of employment laws and regulations and remain updated. Ensure that the organization is complied with the laws.
  • To conduct regular visits to all Aseema schools monthly / fortnightly.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

  • To ensure vacancies for all centres - Mumbai & Igatpuri are filled on priority. Overstaffing to be avoided.
  • To identify potential sources of resource through job portals, contacts, institutions etc.
  • To establish, maintain contact with various external institutions for campus interviews and internships and attend the same for filling vacancies.
  • To ensure the entire defined process of recruitment is followed including screening, shortlisting, interviewing, scheduling demo lessons in case of teachers.
  • To ensure the recruitment (Job Application), attrition, training database is maintained and updated.
  • To prepare appointment letters & job descriptions for all staff keeping in mind the requirements of the organization and explain their job roles to them.
  • To conduct orientations at the start of the academic year and also for new staff as and when required.
  • To ensure complete documentation and filing of records for each staff
  • To conduct exit interviews and complete all formalities for staff leaving the organisation.

**PERFORMANCE REVIEW APPRAISALS
**

  • To initiate the Appraisal process in November and April every year and ensure its completion within the time frame.
  • To facilitate preparation and distribution of appraisal forms for all staff
  • To ensure appraisals are done for all staff in Mumbai & Igatpuri in coordination with the respective Heads.
  • To generate MIS reports as per requirement.

PAYROLL
**

  • To prepare and verify staff honoraria using payroll software and ensure salaries to staff are paid on time.
  • To ensure all statutory compliances related to Provident Fund, PT, Leave Encashment, Bonus etc are completed on a timely basis
  • To provide and update relevant details of new recruits and resignations to accounts.
  • To coordinate with the School Admin for staff leave and attendance for inclusion in the honoraria.
  • To keep a record of leave entitlement and leave availed by all staff.
  • To handle all queries related to PF refund and manage the process of PF withdrawals / transfer of resigned staff in coordination with the PF Consultant.

**TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMMES
**

  • To plan and organise meetings for staff i.e Sectional Heads, Mid-term meeting and End of term as scheduled for the year, Teachers’ Day, Staff Picnic, Support Staff day
  • To conduct HR visits to get staff feedback on any concerns, training requirements etc.
  • To initiate and get involved in employee engagements at regular intervals.

Required skills and qualifications:

**

  • Diploma / Degree in HR with min. 7-8 years of work experience in HR at a managerial position
  • Good command over English and Marathi
  • Good computer and documentation skills
  • Ability to deal with people and processes

Salary: Rs.60-75000/- pm - based on experience and qualification.
