Manager / Executive Manager - Strategic Financial Reporting

Are you someone who has the appetite for analytics and with a go-getter attitude? Then, look no further. This is a unique opportunity for a high-energy professional to be part of the Global Finance team and learn about and support global initiatives and to work directly with global, regional, and member firm leaders. This role would offer opportunity to work on analytical projects, understand the trends in the financials, visualize the pain points, identify the mitigation strategies, and then engage in a dialogue with the executive leadership.

Work you will do

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Analyzes member firm financial data, including risk assessment and other regular and ad hoc reporting
    • Quickly understand clients’ needs and develop ad hoc analysis and deliver on time
    • Lead reporting and analysis assignments that include quarterly progress reporting, benchmarking, and co-ordination with the MF Leadership team
    • Supports DTTL and MF leadership meetings with presentation materials
    • Develops complex financial models like stress tests and specialized scenario analysis to study the impact of any external/internal risks on business and provide remediations
    • Support distressed firm deep dives when Member Firms request DTTL assistance
    • Manages creation of executive-level reports in PPT and Excel, typically for DTTL and member firm finance leadership
    • Develops expertise using DTTL reporting tools and systems, such as SAP BW
  • Project management
    • Manages typically high-profile projects in support of financial and operational performance improvement and initiatives as defined by DTTL Finance leadership
    • Lead financial analysis projects and identify detailed actions required to mitigate risks and successfully deliver a project
    • Should interact with member firm CFOs and/or Finance Contacts and drive getting insights of the operations, especially on the distressed firms
    • Development of persuasive management presentations and other support materials (such as project plans, tracking documents, meeting notes, and status reports) to drive the implementation of projects
    • Employs a forward-looking approach focusing on potential opportunities for improvement, leading directly to actions resulting in better financial and operational metrics
    • Able to work with contacts across the firm to resolve complex issues
    • Ensures open communications and quick and accurate responses to leadership requests as needed
  • Team Management
    • Provides guidance and support to other team members and help them with producing different ad-hoc analysis
    • Delegates tasks to the team members and co-ordinate activities within the team
    • Review the analysis for accuracy provided by the team; approve and provide advisory insights on next steps and action plan or recommendation for the stakeholders
    • Conducts training on Excel and bring the India team and new members up to speed on Excel and PowerPoint skills

Qualifications

Required

  • 12+ years of experience in an accounting, corporate finance, operations or consulting role, preferably in MNC, or global organizations, including 3 to 4 years of people mgmt. experience
  • MBA Finance/master’s in finance and accounting
  • Proficient, or able to become proficient quickly, with DTTL financial systems (SAP HANA, BW, and other as needed)
  • Rigorous analytical and quantitative focus
  • Experience in managing projects and dealing with clients
  • Understanding of financial accounting (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows) and financial and operational metrics/KPIs (key performance indicators) used by professional services firms
  • Proficient in Excel for financial analytics and data modeling; and PowerPoint for creation of executive-level presentations. Can effectively use other commonly used software, such as Word and Outlook, in completion of work
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication. Must be able to effectively communicate with member firm financial contacts, DTTL Finance team members, internal clients, and all levels of management of the Firm
  • Knowledge of VBA and exposure to tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, QlickSense will be an advantage
Characteristics

  • The ideal candidate must possess a flexible work style and be able to work beyond the normal schedule during peak periods in order to meet deadlines
  • Able to develop network within DTTL Finance to aid in the team’s understanding of financial data
  • Should be able to work effectively, with minimal day-to-day supervision, and within a team environment to significantly contribute to the success of the team.
  • Must possess a client-service mindset and a desire to take on tough and challenging projects. Will proactively investigate and mitigate risks, coordinating with team members and others to resolve issues and escalate issues as necessary
  • Outstanding research, analytical, and quantitative aptitude, as well as advanced attention to detail, are required for success in this role
