Job Purpose:

  • Scientific expertise in assigned therapy area and deliver high quality scientific promotional / non-promotional material/ talks

  • Deliver value to internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop patient-centric approaches in therapy area

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work with medical colleagues and other business partners to identify External Experts, professional groups and other key stakeholders in the assigned therapy area (Dermatology).
  • Deliver non-promotional scientific discussions in assigned therapy area (Dermatology) to inform and educate HCPs on the appropriate patient care and right use of our medicines in patients.
  • Act as an expert speaker at promotional and scientific events to disseminate information to larger groups of healthcare providers while stimulating clinical dialogue to gain different views and perspectives.
  • Interact with Key External Experts at congresses, symposia, CME programs and launch meetings to develop a collaborative relationship and leverage their expertise to formulate/drive brand strategy.
  • Respond compliantly to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals and associated individuals regarding licensed or un-licensed GSK medicines and indications; ensure all medical information responses are factual, fair and balanced, scientifically rigorous and strictly comply with GSK standards and policies and with local codes of practice, guidelines and laws to ensure the strictest requirements are met.
  • Maintain expertise in the evolving scientific / therapeutic area and in competitor medicines and vaccines.
  • Attend both national and regional scientific/medical meetings to gain medical voice of the customer on recent data being presented on products and disease states of interest to GSK
  • Provide training to individual HCPs to prepare them to speak on behalf of GSK and assist with GSK-sponsored speaker training events
  • Provide medical inputs, through the Medical Affairs team, into the development and execution of brand strategy including scientific engagement activities and proposals for Phase IV clinical studies.
  • Impart product and disease area training to field force, when required, using approved training materials, to ensure that they have basic and up to date product and disease understanding.
  • Ensure prompt and substantiated medical information responses to medical queries through appropriate channels.
  • Ensure appropriate review and approval of promotional materials in compliance with GSK policies and local regulations, if required
  • Evaluate new product opportunities and provide feedback to business development team based on current medical evidence.
  • Conduct individual discussions and meetings with steering committee members, advisory board members, consultants etc., on topics related to the work being conducted with GSK (e.g. for clinical research investigators, the conduct or publication of clinical research sponsored by GSK)

Basic Qualifications:

  • MBBS+ MD is a must

- Must have 6 months - 2.5 yrs experience (post MS qualification)

Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required:

  • Medical degree with post-graduation in Medicine, or Pharmacology

  • Pharmaceutical industry or relevant experience is desirable

  • Relevant TA experience is desirable

  • Understanding of regulations related to promotional practices

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Able to operate as a team player
