Join us as a Release Train Manager, VP

  • We’re looking for someone to be responsible for the interdependencies of teams by providing domain synchronisation of the portfolio delivery and domain pipeline
  • With no two days the same, you’ll have the chance to be a true servant leader and help ensure consistent Agile delivery at scale

What you’ll do

You’ll develop the release train, including the preparation and review of the release and environment strategy, plans and estimation and the management of interdependencies, while providing cross-team synchronisation and ensuring teams understand how their work helps customers.

We’ll expect you to manage and optimise the flow of business value delivery of programmes using Agile tools and techniques. You’ll also build and communicate release calendars and iterative planning cycles to synchronise with other RTMS across domains.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the planning readiness of teams by facilitating the preparation of release and sprint vision and goals and work pipelines and facilitating pre and post planning meetings
  • Aggregating the team planning objectives into programmes and portfolio objectives and publishing them for visibility and transparency
  • Combining the programme release objectives into value streams release objectives where they exist before publishing them for visibility and transparency
  • Assisting with the economic decision-making by facilitating estimation through teams and the roll up to programme and portfolio levels

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for someone with an expert understanding of running complex projects spanning multiple scrum and non-scrum teams.

You’ll also need:

  • Expert level knowledge and proficiency with scaled Agile and P3M tools and methodologies spanning value stream, portfolio, programme and team levels
  • The ability to prioritise and sequence tasks that are to be delivered by the feature teams
  • Good servant leadership capabilities along with the ability to create and share our bank’s vision
  • Great stakeholder skills with the ability to influence both business and technical partners
  • Experience of running multiple matrix-managed teams
