The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting research, scrutinizing data, and contributing towards the development of fresh initiatives and projects related to the theme. The ideal candidate should possess either an interest or prior experience in related domains, such as food science & technology, food & nutrition, food processing, food formulations, agricultural management practices, biofertilizers, horticulture, gene expressions in plants and other related fields. Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research in the area of Food & Agriculture and related fields such as food science & technology, food & nutrition, food processing, food formulations, agricultural management practices, biofertilizers, horticulture, gene expressions in plants, cloning, molecular biology, etc.
  • Analysing data obtained from research and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Contributing to the development of new initiatives and projects within the research theme.
  • Collaborating with other researchers and professionals in the field to ensure that research is conducted effectively and efficiently.
  • Writing research reports, publications, and presenting research findings at conferences or other events.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in wellness research and incorporating new knowledge into ongoing research projects.
  • Managing research data, laboratory equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to ethical research practices and quality of life for individuals and communities.
  • Participating in related education research activities like teaching school students, developing content and observing classroom activities.

Qualification

  • An M.Sc. or M.Tech or equivalent degree related to Food and Agriculture or related science fields
  • A strong academic record in relevant coursework, including courses in food, nutrition, agriculture practices, chemistry/biochemistry, analytical chemistry.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Experience in conducting research, preferably in Food and Agriculture or related fields
  • Experience in analysing and interpreting data obtained from research
  • Experience in presenting research findings at conferences or other events
  • Experience in writing research reports, publications, and grant proposals
  • Experience in managing research data, laboratory equipment, and supplies
  • Experience in content development and teaching in related fields
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to laboratory work
