What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Advisor you will be responsible for

  • Design solutions and strategies within the customer environment, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure
  • Use expertise to prepare specific and detailed solutions based on latest product platforms covering high end servers, storage, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, backup, and recovery solutions
  • Compose applicable services agreements (e.g. Statements of Work, SLA documentation, etc) that specify staffing, deliverables, commitments, risk, and project management aspects of a solution on areas like Cloud computing, high performance computing, virtualization, migration, datacentre consolidation etc.

You will:

Be part of the Global Solutioning (GS) BU which supports Services Sales Organization responsible for maximising services mix attached with the enterprise product portfolio. You will be working as ‘Presales Solutions Architect’ focusing mainly on custom ‘Deployment and Support Services’ and to a certain extent ‘Consulting Services’.

  • Assist the services sales organization and related Practice Areas as technical/industry subject matter experts
  • Support deal negotiation and closure to include transition support to service delivery
  • Serve as a services subject matter expert to both internal and external customers
  • Follow all organizational standard operating procedures relative to cost modelling, approvals and reviews, and all other associated workflow, documentation, and deliverables
  • Participate in applicable win-loss reviews and incorporates learnings into future solutions

Essential Requirements

Sound experience on following product portfolio and technology areas-

  • Enterprise Product Portfolio – Servers, Blades, Switches, Storage, Data Backup, and recovery, Converged and Hyperconverged Technologies, High Performance Cloud Computing
  • Technology Areas –Virtualization, Networking, Server and Storage Integration, Cloud Computing, Clustering, Migration, Data Backup and Recovery, Datacenter Consolidation, DR Solutions
  • Subject matter expert in at least one service area or technology and broad understanding of multiple service areas and technologies
  • Skills and experience in constructing complex service solutions in the IT services market
  • Advanced understanding of services related processes and technologies
  • Understanding of services P&L and knowledge of assessing operational risk on profitability and impacts to service delivery
  • Skills and understanding of the industry best practices and methodologies to tie dissimilar components together into an aggregate system
  • Complete understanding and ability to construct, tailor, and negotiate service contracts (e.g. Statement of Work Document) for both customer engagement and partner provisioning

Experience

  • 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a bachelor’s degree

Desirable Requirements

  • Candidates with experience in customer facing role would be preferred
  • Having hands on experience would be an added advantage
